Our practice is intentionally personal. With one convenient Lawrenceville office, our pediatricians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and staff get to know your child and family over time. That continuity helps us provide care that feels familiar, thoughtful, and connected from the first visit forward.

Becoming a new patient at DVPA is simple. Before your child’s first appointment, we will need basic information about your child, health history, insurance, and previous medical care.

To help your first visit go smoothly, please complete the new patient forms before your appointment and bring them with you. If your child has been seen by another pediatrician or specialist, it may also be helpful to request medical records before your visit.

Before your first appointment, please plan to:

If your child is transferring from another pediatrician, we recommend requesting medical records before your first visit. These records help us understand your child’s previous care and provide better continuity.

What should I look for when choosing a pediatrician for my newborn?

Every family is looking for something a little different, but I think there are a few things that really matter. You want a practice that’s easy to reach, can see your child when they’re sick, follows current medical guidelines, and takes the time to listen. You’ll also be seeing your pediatrician for years, not just when your child is sick, but for checkups, developmental concerns, school sports, and everything in between. Choose someone you feel comfortable talking to and a practice that feels like a good fit for your family.

Does Delaware Valley Pediatrics accept newborns with private insurance?

Yes. We welcome newborns and accept most major private insurance plans. If you’re expecting a baby and have questions about your insurance or becoming a new patient, our team would be happy to help.

What should I bring to my child’s first appointment at Delaware Valley Pediatrics?

Please bring your insurance card, a photo ID, and any hospital discharge paperwork or medical records you have. If you’re transferring from another practice, it’s also helpful to bring your child’s immunization records. More importantly, bring your questions. Your first visit is about more than just examining your child. It’s a chance for us to get to know your family, answer your questions, and make sure you leave feeling comfortable and confident about your child’s care.

Do you see patients through adolescence or just young children?

We care for children from birth through young adulthood. That means we’re here for newborn visits, routine checkups, school and sports physicals, behavioral concerns, ADHD management, adolescent care, and everything in between.

Do you offer evening and weekend appointments?

We know life is busy. Between work, school, sports, and activities, it’s not always easy to fit a pediatrician visit into your schedule. That’s why we offer extended hours on Monday evenings, Saturday appointments for half the day, and 24/7 access to one of our pediatric providers. Monday evenings are reserved for sick visits, while Saturdays include both well child checkups and sick visits, giving families more flexibility to schedule appointments outside of the traditional workweek. Even on Sundays, one of our providers is always on call. If your child needs to be evaluated, we’ll help you decide the best next step, and when medically appropriate, we can arrange to see your child in the office. Our goal is simple: to make it as easy as possible for your family to get pediatric care when you need it.
